Bea was given to her in memory of her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is an Kildare born woman. Her birth date was in March 16, 1984. Her father Brian was a veterinarian who worked with horses who committed suicide when she was just three years old. She was not aware of the cause of her death until 13 years later. In 2017, Bea published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and adopted her stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a an ex-professional jockey. Their family was racing and horse-related. As a young girl, Bea was a tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early age that she was not keen on the sport of racing for a profession, but instead loved performing.
