Singer and songwriter John Denver touched millions of people, and achieved superstar status with his folk-based pop songs with a lot of them being set in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in the love of Colorado and later relocated to Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado are a source of inspiration for many to move to the state. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver was by far one of the most well-known musicians who was a symbol of Colorado. In 2011 Denver was chosen as the first Hall of Fame inductee. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for many people all over the world. In all my travels I've met a lot of non-Colorado residents. Colorado. People will declare, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you are from Colorado. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's first Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist after working in small Folk Music Groups. The track was written by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version and knew the song would be an instant hit in the top 10. The song was performed in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver made a recording a few days later.
